About the conference
A new series of Symposia in Theoretical Computer Science was launched
in 1992, to be held in a Latin American context: LATIN (Latin American
Theoretical INformatics).
This effort was done in cooperation with SIGACT, EATCS, the IEEE
Technical Committee on Mathematical Foundations of Computing,
IFIP's new Specialist Group on Foundations of Computer Science
and some Latin American Computer Societies.
This is the fourth event of the series, after LATIN'92 (São Paulo,
Brazil), LATIN'95 (Valparaíso, Chile), and LATIN'98 (Campinas, Brazil).
