I am pleased to announce that the first issue of the
quarterly International peer-reviewed journal, 'Computer
Simulation and Modelling in Medicine' may be obtained free
of charge by registering at www.chrislangton.co.uk
The journal has two disease-related themes, Human Systems
and Medical Technologies, and is delivered in electronic
format over the internet, thus enabling animations and
computer programs to be incorporated. Within the first two
weeks of its launch the journal has already received 330
registrations from 31 countries.

Issue 1 includes extended abstracts from the UK's Institute
of Physics' Medical Physics Group Meeting titled
'Simulation and Modelling Techniques Applied to Medicine'.

The journal is aimed at a broad range of researchers
including computer scientists, bioengineers, medical
physicists and clinicians. Papers should be submitted to
