The research Group on Optimization and Learning (GOAL) 
<https://goal.uca.es/> looks for a highly motivated PhD candidate to 
join iSUN, a Spanish National project, focusing on the development of 
Intelligent Sustainable Urban Transportation Systems, 
using cutting-edge data science, graphical representation and 
optimization techniques. We are located at the south of Spain.

We offer

  * Fixed term contract up to 4 years, on a full time basis (35 hours/week)
  * PhD fellowship in Computer Science or Industrial Engineering
  * Join a leading international group to work in a pioneer research project

Your role

  * Carrying out outstanding research in the predefined areas
  * Disseminating results through high impact scientific publications
  * Presenting results in well-known international conferences and workshops


Your profile

  * Computer Science Eng., Telecommunications Eng., Industrial Eng. (all
    branches), Product Design Eng., Mathematician, or Physicist
  * Experience in programming (Java, C, python)
  * Information visualization
  * Desirable knowledge in Artificial Intelligence: optimization,
    machine learning, and deep learning methods
  * Ability to work as part of a team
