En el marco de una invitación que les cursara INIA (Gabriel Ciappesoni), tenemos el agrado de invitarlos a las charlas a cargo de los Dres. Andrés Legarra y Carole Moreno-Romieux, INRA-Francia. Las mismas se llevarán a cabo el martes 21 de febrero a las 15 hs en el Institut Pasteur de Montevideo, salón de seminarios, Planta Baja. Agradecemos divulgación.

Parentescos genomicos y metafundadores
Genomic relationships and metafounders
 
Genomic relationships are comparable to, but more accurate than, pedigree relationships and a brief overview will be given in the first part. In complex crossed populations with several origins like in plant and animal breeding, it is difficult to define the same genetic ground across populations and origins. Metafounders, finite and related ancestral base populations, are a possible solution that will be presented. Some results of simulation and real data in pigs and sheep will be shown.
