Gustavo Betarte

Gustavo Betarte received a BSc degree in Computer Engineer (1990) from Facultad de Ingeniería de la Universidad de la República, Uruguay (FING-Udelar), and a MSc. (1993) and a PhD. (1998) in Computing Science from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. He is a Full Professor of the Department of Computer Science (InCo) and principal researcher and head of the Computer Security team (GSI) of FING-Udelar. Dr. Betarte is member of the Uruguayan Researchers National System (SNI, Level II) and an active researcher (Grado 4) of the Informatics Area of PEDECIBA. Since 2006 he is the Technical Director of the Computer Security Consulting Team of Tilsor SA, an Uruguayan IT company.

Carlos Luna

Carlos Luna is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science of the School of Engineering at Universidad de la República (FING-UDELAR), Montevideo, Uruguay, where he participates in the Computer Security Group. He received a Ph.D. and a M.Sc. degree in Computer Science at FING - UDELAR.

He has published more than 60 refereed scientific papers and has been researcher of many national and international projects. His research interests include formal methods, program verification, software and system security, foundations of computer science, and education. He is currently working on the analysis of security models for mobile devices, the formal definition and verification of security properties of cryptocurrency protocols, and the security analysis of blockchain, as well as the formal specification and verification of critical systems in different domains.

Juan Diego Campo

Juan Diego is a Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science of the School of Engineering at Universidad de la República (FING-UDELAR), Montevideo, Uruguay. He received a PhD. in Computer Science from PEDECIBA Informática, and graduated as Computer Systems Engineer at FING-UDELAR.

He has published a number of refereed scientific papers and participated in many national and international research projects.

His research interests include formal methods, program verification, software and system security and foundations of computer science. He is currently working on the development of cybersecurity training platforms such as Cyber Ranges, and on tools and methodologies for the automation of detection and prevention of attacks on web applications.

Felipe Zipitría

Felipe Zipitria is a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science of the School of Engineering at Universidad de la República (FING-UDELAR), Montevideo, Uruguay. He received a Msc. in Computer Science from PEDECIBA Informática, and graduated as Computer Systems Engineer at FING-UDELAR.

His research interests has been in the area of Application Security, and Web Application Security. He is the acting co-leader of the OWASP CRS and OWASP Coraza projects.

María Eugenia Corti

María Eugenia is a Computer Engineer from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of the Republic, Uruguay. She has an MSc in Computer Engineering from the same faculty. She is an Assistant Professor at the Computing Institute (INCO) of the Faculty of Engineering, working directly with the Computer Security Group (GSI). She participates in the teaching and preparation of the Computer Security Workshop, of the Computer Engineer career and the courses Information Security Management and High Security Mobile Devices, which are part of the Specialization in Computer Security, of the Center for Postgraduate and Professional Update (CPAP) of the INCO. She has been co-tutor of several degree projects of the Computer Engineer career, collaborated in Master’s projects of the CPAP and participated in defense tribunals of degree projects. She has several publications in international refereed conferences.

Rodrigo is a Computer System Engineer graduated at the School of Engineering at Universidad de la República (FING-UDELAR), Montevideo, Uruguay , and a MSc. in Computing of PEDECIBA (Programa para el Desarrollo de las Ciencias Básicas).

He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science of the School of Engineering at Universidad de la República (FING-UDELAR), Montevideo, Uruguay. Is member of the Security Group of this school and of the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) local chapter.
