In 2011 she has started to work on her PhD thesis under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Alejandro Vaisman. The thesis subject is in the area of Semantic Web and Linked Data. In particular she is working on the representation and operation of multidimensional data structures over RDF.

She holds a Master degree in Computer Science (2010) and a Bachelor Honours degree in Computer Science (2003) from the Dept. of Computer Science, Faculty of Engineering, University of the Republic (Instituto de Computación, Facultad de Ingeniería, Universidad de la República, Uruguay).

She has had several years of professional experience as a Systems and Applications Analyst working for several local companies. She is also working as a Teaching and Research Assistant at the Dept. of Computer Science, where she has been a member of the Information Systems Group since 2003. As such, she has been involved in the teaching of several undergraduate courses in Computer Science.

Her research interests are in the area of Information Systems. She has worked in Data Quality, Data Warehousing and Biomedical Data. As part of her Master thesis work, she has applied data quality concepts to the domain of DNA microarray experiments, which are of current great interest for several biology researchers working at the Uruguayan branch of the Institut Pasteur at Montevideo.
