Venue
IFL 2025 will take place in Montevideo at Facultad de Ingeniería (School of Engineering), Universidad de la República, located at Av. Julio Herrera y Reissig 565, Montevideo, Uruguay. The venue is situated in the Parque Rodo neighborhood, near the coastline and close to the city center.
Lunches will be at Rodelu (see the menu of the week) and the conference dinner at Mercado Williman. All the locations can be found on this map.
From Carrasco Airport to Punta Carretas
The options to get from the airport to Punta Carretas, the neighborhood of the venue, are:
- Taxi, Uber or Cabify: Taxis from the airport are operated by Taxi Aeropuerto de Carrasco. A one-way trip costs around USD 50. Uber and Cabify also operate in Uruguay and can be taken at the airport.
- Shuttle: Shuttles can be booked in advance through AeroShop. A one-way trip costs around USD 13.
- Bus: The DM1 metropolitan bus line (direction Punta Carretas) stops at the airport and ends at Punta Carretas Shopping. Tickets can be purchased onboard in Uruguayan pesos and cost around USD 3 ($ 104).
From Tres Cruces Bus Station to Facultad de Ingeniería
The options to get from the bus station to the venue, are:
- Taxi, Uber or Cabify: A taxi ride from the bus station to the Facultad de Ingeniería costs around USD 5. Uber and Cabify also operate in Uruguay.
- Bus: The 300 local bus line (yellow buses, direction Cementerio Central) stops in front of the bus station on Bulevar Artigas. After about ten stops, it reaches the Facultad de Ingeniería. Tickets can be purchased onboard in Uruguayan pesos and cost around USD 1.5 ($ 61).
