I participate in several initiatives to interact and build relations with educational institutes, public organizations and software industry. Regarding education I work in promoting ICTs careers within young females in secondary school (junior high school) and reflect on the gender gap in the
Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) area.
When the COVID-19 pandemic, I participated in the project PROTECT (PRivacy Oriented TEchniques for digital Contract Tracing solutions) in
which we analyzed privacy and security aspects of contact tracing digital solutions, when they were emerging (April-October 2020).
I also work in promoting collaborations between different actors of ICTs for the improvement of organizations based on BPM concepts and technologies, providing a space in Uruguay where academia, the government and software industry can converge.

I love Montevideo city, its culture and events, open spaces, parks, going for a walk or running in the rambla, enjoying our typical meals and visiting craft breweries at night. In the summer, I enjoy being outdoors preferably near the beach in the great uruguayan coast as in Rocha Cabo Polonio, La Paloma, and Piriápolis in Maldonado. I usually spend my vacations with my family in those places. I love listening to music, dancing, attending concerts, reading a good book, watching an interesting movie.
I also love travelling around the world, meeting new people and experience different cultures, which I also do when attending conferences. I love knowing new places, trying typical food and learning more about the history of each place I visit. I really enjoy to visit historical sites, museums and to take hikes. My ancestors come from Italy (Marina di Camerota, Salerno) and Spain (San Sebastián, Basque Country and Islas Canarias), countries that I visit and enjoy whenever I can. Below is a selection of vacation and conference travel pics. I have several albums published in FB.
